The Motorola Mc68060 CPU
Question? The MC68060 system crashes during boot up with an installed AutoConfig board with a bootrom.
Answer!

Some older expansion boards use driver ROMs, which contain commands that are not supported by the Motorola 68060 CPU, e.g. the MOVEP command. We added a MOVEP emulation to the firmware of our newer boards, but this emulation decreases the system performance. These boards can't be used correctly until the manufacturer supplies an updated driver ROM.

Question? PS/2 memory modules are not recognized, or seem to be damaged.
Answer!

This can be caused be SIMMs with access times very close to the allowed specs, especially if related to a single SIMM. The memory test during startup may fail to accept that SIMM. Access times of the SIMMs can be figured out by the printing on the chips (-7 or -70 means 70 ns; -8 or -80 means 80 ns; etc) and should be 70 ns or better.
We know, that there are simms on market, which do not comply to PS/2 standards, even if these simms operate correctly inside PC/AT computers. If you had obtained such a simm, we advise to immediatly return it to the dealer and to exchange it with another simm module.

Question? Programs cause the mousepointer to freeze and jump, and the multitasking is distorted.
Answer!

This program seems to contain a lot of unimplemented cpu commands. The emulation of these commands has a strong effect on the Amiga multitasking and performance. Please use the integer (68000) version of the program, or if available the 68060 version.

Question? A program crashes while CyberPatcher is running.
Answer!

CyberPatcher is a tool for commonly used, FPU intensive programs not written for the MC68060. By patching unimplemented CPU commands, program execution can improve. This does not work with all programs. Don't use CyberPatcher in this cases.

Question? The accellerator board seems to slow in operation.
Answer!

Please check if the 68060.library is installed. Also you should add some PS/2 memory to your accellerator board. Only if the 68060.library and memory is installed, the MC68060 will read its full performance.
